'Best guest presenter so far' - Donal Skehan a hit with viewers as he fills James Martin's boots on Saturday Kitchen

It's a tough gig but Donal Skehan has impressed on hit BBC show Saturday Kitchen.
Viewers are still smarting from the departure of James Martin who hosted the show for ten years until three weeks ago, but reaction to the Irish celebrity chef has been overwhelmingly positive.
The BBC announced a string of celebrity chefs would host the show following his departure, among them Irish star Donal Skehan.
Michelin star chef Michel Roux Jr was the first presenter on April 2, with Lorraine Pascale also stepping in and Masterchef's John Torode also lined up.
Donal (29), who has risen from food blogger with his own hugely successful YouTube channel to author and TV presenter.
Last year the celebrity chef presented a new series for Food Network and he recently moved to LA with his wife Sofie.
Speaking to the Irish Times before the show, he said, ”Saturday Kitchen has become an institution at the BBC and a big part of many people’s weekend routine.
“There is huge pressure, but I’m really excited about the challenge of a live show and looking forward to cooking some delicious dishes.”
Viewers have been impressed by Donal's stint on the show this morning, taking to Twitter to voice their approval and recommend him for the permanent position of host.
Saturday Kitchen airs every Saturday at 10am on BBC One.
