The recent study found that 66pc of fathers admitted that they found their wife or partner’s figure more attractive after they’ve given birth.

Despite the study’s findings, the research also found that just 14pc of new mothers were body confident after giving birth, while 40pc of women worried that their partner would no longer find them attractive.

Meanwhile the research, carried out by Channel Mum, also found that more than half of new parents found that having a baby improved the quality of their love lives and furthered their connection.

Almost 30pc of parents admitted that they are having more sex than ever before.

Founder of Channel Mum Siobhan Freegard revealed that it was encouraging to see that having a baby succeeds in strengthening many relationships.

“Having a baby is the biggest change you can bring into your relationship, so it’s wonderful to see it can bring couples closer together.”
