The former glamour model attracted a barrage of outraged tweets and comments after she posted a snap of Bunny on Instagram along with the caption ‘Aww’.

Price addressed the social media storm on yesterday’s edition of Loose Women, where she was asked why she did not wait for Bunny to make the decision for herself when she was older.

“What about kids that get circumcised? They don’t get a choice,” she said.

“Kieran is half Spanish and that is their tradition,” Price said, speaking of her husband.

“She looks really cute. Don’t get me wrong. I think when a baby is a baby, I think they should stay pure and a baby, but I’ll be contradicting myself a bit now, but what can I say? I’ve had it done and I think she looks beautiful with it,” she said.

In the past, Irish model mum Sarah McGovern has spoken out against children’s piercings, which she said are unnecessary and cruel.

“I think it’s a bit cruel to be honest. The baby doesn’t even know any different, it’s more for the parents and it must hurt having it done,” she said.

“Maybe when they’re communion age and they can make up their own mind about it, that’s different.

“My nieces both had it done for their seventh birthday and that’s time enough as by then, they can make up their own mind on it.”
