'We got our baby name from a TV ad' reveals Pippa O'Connor
New mum Pippa O'Connor got the idea for her baby's name from a TV advert for 'Oliver! the Musical'
Brian and Pippa decided on their baby name Ollie after an ad for the musical Oliver! popped up on their TV sets.
"Brian mentioned it first," model Pippa O'Connor explains in the new issue of VIP magazine.
"We were watching an ad for Oliver! which was showing at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre at the time, and Brian mentioned he liked the name.
"Then we settled on Ollie, and thought Ollie Ormond had a ring to it."
Pippa who is breast feeding three month old Ollie says she avoids feeling like a "cow milking machine" by getting her nails and hair done on a regular basis.
The 28-year-old model gave birth to baby Ollie on April 10.
She says it's important to retain her sense of independence.
"I think it's very important to feel that you're not just a mum," she said. "Or in my case, a cow milking machine! I think it's important to have a sense of freedom as well."
"It's great to be able to say to Brian that I'm going to get my nails done, or I'm going to meet my mum or friends and not have Ollie with me all the time.
"Since I've had Ollie, Brian has gone out and I've stayed at home and vice versa, so I do get to enjoy going out and doing things but I definitely don't miss the late nights."
He may be small but Ollie is one demanding babe and has inherited dad Brian's impulsive and impatient nature.
According to Pippa, Ollie screams the house down whenever he wants a feed.
"From the moment he was born, Ollie had no patience," she said.
"If he's hungry, he can't even wait 30 seconds without screaming the house down; you'd swear he was starving."
Ollie is Brian's second child, he has a daughter Chloe (13) from a previous relationship. And Pippa says when it comes to nappy changing and nursery rhymes, Brian is a natural.
"Being a new mum can be very overwhelming and I have to say that Brian was, hands down, much better than I was at the start," she told VIP magazine.
"He was totally cool and confident and not at all fazed, whereas I was a bit more overwhelmed by the whole thing.
"Obviously he has practice with his daughter Chloe and he has lots of nieces and nephews.
"Before Ollie came along, my sister and I used to call him the 'baby whisperer'.
"Some people have 'it' and he definitely has it. He's very confident and comfortable around children."
