A pair of identical twin sisters have welcomed their first children on the exact same day, in a coincidence they attribute to their “twin-tuition”.

Twins Sarah Mariuz and Leah Rogers (35) welcomed a baby boy and girl in Denver, Colorado and La Jolla California last month after they fell pregnant on the same week.

Sarah welcomed Samantha Lynne Mariuz in Colorato at 1.18am Mountain Standard Time, while her cousin Reid Joseph Rodgers was born at 1.18am Standard Pacific Time in California.

Although the sisters were surprised to find out they were pregnant at the same time, Sarah admits she knew their children would be born on the same day.

Speaking to Independent.ie she said: “It was a complete surprise to learn that we were both expecting at the same time and so much fun to have someone to be on this journey with together.

“My ‘twintuition’ knew that we would deliver these babies on the same day,” she said.

The new babies and their identical mums plan to spend Christmas together, where they will meet for the first time.

Sarah and Leah have set up a Facebook page celebrating their ‘Twintuition’.
