Star Wars villain becomes fastest-rising baby name in the US
The hunt for ever more unusual baby names is driving American parents to find inspiration from sci-fi, particularly the Star Wars franchise's latest instalment.
However, they're not looking to heroes Finn (played by John Boyega) or Han Solo (Harrison Ford) for their baby boy names, but rather villain Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
In the film (spoiler alert) he murders Han Solo, but this small detail hasn't stopped the name becoming the fast growing boy's name in the States.
The Social Security Administration has released its annual list and Kylo jumps more than 2000 spots to 901.
Other names drawn from popular culture include Creed, Adonis (from Rocky sequel Creed) and Zayn, which may be due to former One Direction star and now solo artist Zayn Malik.
The fastest growing girls' name was Kehlani, the name of a hugely popular US singer-songwriter.
