Number Five beguiles and bewitches Joanna

SHE wasn't exactly Big Maggie. Last Friday, little Lily Nora was born -- weighing seven pounds and nine ounces -- in Cork University Hospital to the late John B Keane's daughter Joanna O'Flynn and her husband Simon O'Flynn, a Cork man.
"We are bewitched, beguiled and enchanted by the baby born hale and hearty," Joanna told me, adding that her own mother Mary, who turned 80 last month, is "over the moon".
The proud parents live in Listowel and tell me that having their fifth child is "as good as bringing Sam back to Kerry". Naturally, Joanna, who was chair of Listowel Writers' Week for five years, won't be at the launch this week in the Mansion House, Dublin, of this year's festival, the 40th.
