Model mum Gisele pierces baby girl’s ears
Supermodel Gisele has pierced her baby’s ears at just seven months.
The tiny tot can been seen wearing gold studs in a touching photo which shows mum and baby enjoying a tender moment.
The snap has provoked heated debate on online forums with many parents saying Vivian is too young to have had her ears pierced.
Others are arguing that Brazilian model Gisele (33) is simply following a trend among Latin American mums.
Another point of controversy is the amber teething necklace which the adorable tot is also wearing.
The beads which are supposed to help relieve the pain of teething for a child have been deemed too dangerous despite millions of parents worldwide using them.
HSE district nurses are currently telling Irish mums that they are not recommended in case the beads become loose and cause choking.
Gisele (33) is no stranger to mummy controversy and caused heated arguments with her very solid views on breastfeeding.
In an 2010 interview with Harper’s Bazaar she said: “Some people here think they don’t have to be breastfeed, and I think: “Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?” There should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breasfeed their babies for six months”.
The mum of two also had scathing words for women who put on too much weight during pregnancy saying that they used childbirth as an excuse to “turn into garbage disposals”.
