Health bits: Teething pain can be recognised now

TV's super-nanny Jo Frost advises parents trying to soothe baby's teething to first recognise the signs -- dribbling, irritability, chewing on things, red cheeks, slightly high temperature and "nappies like you've never smelt before".
She says to sometimes use a little oral teething gel but be careful not to overuse. Other things you can try are teething rings or a cold face flannel, or just rubbing your finger on their gums and giving lots of cuddles.
