Almost one in five Irish teenagers are victims of cyber-bullying and nearly half say the experience has had a negative effect on their mental health, according to the doctors' journal the 'Medical Independent'
In a survey from three secondary schools in north Dublin, 24 of the 130 pupils, or 18.5pc, had been cyber-bullied. Of these 45pc said that it "had a negative effect on their mental health".

Families young and old are invited to a free celebration in the Iveagh Gardens in Dublin on May 15 to mark International Day of the Family, which was launched by Ray D'Arcy (above).
