Demanding role for a model mum

OF course $46,000 a month in child support is totally normal. There are nappies, bottles and diamond-encrusted rattles to consider. Not to mention 24-hour help from an uber-nanny, whose salary is a mere $80,000 per year. And forget the Bugaboo -- so middle class -- this kid could probably afford a private jet.
Ah, the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Ex-supermodel Linda Evangelista (who must still be fairly super as she earned $1.8 million last year) requested some chump change from her ex-boyfriend, French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, last week in a New York court, for the care of their baby, Augustin. Pinault is the chief executive of PPR, the group which owns Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Bottega Veneta. So surely that's at least the discount on designer clothes sorted out for the little fella?
Not really. Linda says she hasn't seen a penny since Augustin was born. Pinault, who is married to actress Salma Hayek, disagrees and told French Elle magazine: "At every possibly occasion I make Augustin participate in my family life in the US or in France ... he is totally integrated in my family."
The judge meanwhile said "these are the extraordinary expenses that may be a part of the child's life".
They'll find out how much money they'll receive in December, so at least Christmas might be sorted.
