Forget spending hour trawling the internet for the perfect baby name, a company will now do the work for you at a cost of €25,000 (£20,000).

Swiss company Erfolgswelle has launched a service which is devoted to finding the perfect (an unique) moniker for privileged newborns.

The company traditionally focused on finding the right name for brands, but has now made a foray into the baby market with its unusual service.

New parents opting to fork out the cash for the service must wait three weeks before receiving a list of options from the company, as the service calls for up to 100 hours of research.

Before issuing name advice, Erfolgswelle also checks whether the name has been trademarked.

“We are not looking for children's names, we create them,” states the website.

"Your child will be the first one with this newly-developed first name. And probably not the last one."

The unique service offered by Erfolgswelle is not the only one of its kind internationally, and a similar baby-naming company exists in New York City.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Sherri Suzanne, the owner of ‘My Name For Life’ in New York said the company’s research is undertaken by cultural experts based on a family’s background and beliefs.

“While some criteria, like name popularity, can be measured and ranked objectively, I find that other qualities, like morality of a name or likelihood for success, are very subjective and vary from person to person, community to community, and particularly generation to generation.”

Recent research has suggested that choosing the right baby name could spell the way for future success.
