THE straight-A Leaving Cert student who made a packet after selling his study notes on the internet last year is again basking in his exam success.
Cillian Fahy (19) hit the headlines after achieving seven straight As in the Leaving Cert 2010.
He then walked away with a cool €3,000 after putting his study notes up for sale on eBay.
A number of students, anxious to follow his exam success, snapped up the notes on the auction site.
But Cillian, who is studying mathematics and English at Trinity College in Dublin, has himself now been snapped up by the online company www.mocks.ie
The website offers a range of exam services, including comprehensive study notes for both Leaving and Junior Cert students.
Teachers and other experienced academics provide most of the material on the website, but following his outstanding results in last year's exams Cillian was also asked to provide revision notes.
However, they won't cost anything like the prices fetched on eBay last year. Notes on each subject are priced from €2.49 to €4.95 per topic.
"When I decided to sell my notes last year, I was expecting to maybe get a small amount, but a lot of people seemed very interested in them," said Cillian, who comes from New Quay in Co Clare.
"I eventually sold them to six students, including a couple of mature students."
