India McGirr, a student of Law and French at Trinity College, believes the mocks help students to cope with the intensity of exams.
A year ago India was preparing for the mocks at Gorey Community School in Co Wexford.
"I think it helps you to deal with exams, but you have to remember that it is not the actual Leaving Cert, and these are not actual results.
"It is a useful way of finding out what you need to concentrate on in order to improve your grades in the actual exams."
India, who was the Irish Independent's Leaving Cert exam diarist, said: "After the mocks I knew that I needed to focus on maths and chemistry."
India received 570 points in her Leaving Cert before going to Trinity College.
