Jeremy Kyle opens up about his painful marriage split and how his children helped repair the hurt
Jeremy Kyle might help the British nation repair family feuds and bad break-ups but the TV presenter has revealed that his kids helped him through the break-up of his marriage earlier this year.
The ITV star revealed that his children took on his role when it came to his own relationship troubles following his break-up with his wife Carla after thirteen years.
“My kids got me through it,” Kyle told The Mirror.
“My kids are amazing and they are the ones that keep me going.
“Kids and work - that’s it. I promise you. Literally that. I’ve thrown myself into work, that has kept me going. I appreciate all the support.”
Kyle married his wife Carla Germaine in 2002 but their marriage ended in September. The couple have three children Henry, Alice and Ava and Kyle has another daughter Harriet from a previous marriage.
The presenter revealed that he is not keen on joining dating sites like Tinder and is not looking for a new relationship.
“I don’t understand any of that. I’m not on Twitter or any of that rubbish. I’m an old man.”
Kyle appeared at the National Television Awards in the UK on Wednesday night, unaccompanied but said he was doing well after the break-up.
“I feel grand. This is a great night.”
In the past Kyle has credited his wife for helping him recover from testicular cancer in 2012.
