The world’s ugliest dog Sweepie Rambo has made her European television debut and garnered a new fan in presenter Holly Willoughby, who seemed particularly thrilled to have her on This Morning as a guest.

The 17-year-old pooch appeared on the ITV programme earlier today via Skype, fresh from her win at the World’s Ugliest Dog competition held in California.

The dog scooped more than €1700 at the international competition beating more that 16 others to the top prize.

Speaking on ITV earlier today, Sweepie’s owner Jason explained that he fell in love with the pup when she was just three months old, despite her looks.

“I‘ve always heard about it over 17 years. I thought we can do this and we can win this. We came in second place two times and this time we won it hands down,” he said.

“The only difference is that now people know her as being the ugliest dog, but she was a rock star even before that.”

The super proud owner even had Sweepie’s name tattooed onto his calve to celebrate the win, and left Holly and costar Phillp Schofield in giggles throughout the segment.
