Away in a manager: The annual live crib opens in Dublin
The annual Live Animal Crib has taken up residence outside the Mansion House on Dublin's Dawson Street for its 57th Christmas.
The children from St Joseph's Nursery in Dublin 8 added their tuneful voices to those of the donkeys in the crib for a carolling session this morning.
The Live Crib consists of a traditional nativity scene set among live animals in a specially constructed, life size crib.
The animals are supplied by the IFA and are brought from their farm on the outskirts of the city each morning before returning home in the evening.
The crib is open daily from 11am to 6pm until Christmas Eve when it will open from 11am to 2pm.
