HOPEFUL young letter-writers trying to reach Santa at the North Pole have been urged to stamp on their mail.
An Post said it had been helping Santa reply to children's letters free of charge for over 20 years.
"People have always been asked to put a stamp on a letter but no child will go without a response," an An Post spokesman said.
Rather than being anything to do with the chill economic climes, An Post said it was all part of the art of letter writing. "It is just a nice gesture to put a stamp on a letter," a spokesman said.
