A YOUNG man killed in a car crash had been planning to emigrate to Australia for work, writes Greg Harkin.
Christopher Kane (19), below, died and his younger brother Declan (18) was injured in the crash at Mountcharles, Co Donegal, at 2am yesterday.
Two other teenagers were also injured. No other vehicles were involved, said gardai.
Friends say Christopher was car-mad.
Gardai believe the young driver lost control of his Peugeot 207 when it crossed to the wrong side of the road, struck a ditch and smashed into a bridge.
A relative said the former Abbey Vocational School pupil would have turned 20 in April and had planned to emigrate to Australia.
