Young motorcyclist dies following collision with car - while emergency services also attend second road incident
A young man has died following a road collision this afternoon.
The man, aged in his late teens, was driving a motorbike that was involved in a collision with a car.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:20pm on Thursday, at the junction of Killbarron Park and Cromcastle Road, Coolock in Dublin.
Emergency services attended the scene and the young man was brought to Beaumont Hospital.
He has since been pronounced dead.
The female driver of the car was brought to Beaumont Hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.
Diversions are now in place at the junction of Killbarron Park and Cromcastle Road and the Garda Forensic Collision Investigation team are at the scene.

Meanwhile, emergency services are at the scene of another road collision in Rathmines outside St Mary's College.
It is understood a collision occurred between a motorcyclist and a car shortly before 4pm.
The motorcyclist was knocked off his vehicle, but it is unknown as to how serious his injuries are.
The crash has since been cleared at Military Junction but traffic remains heavy on approach in both directions.
So far in 2016, 176 people have lost their lives on Irish roads.
According to the Road Safety Authority this is an increase of 32 people from 2015.
