The 20-year-old mother-of-one was found dead in her home in Blanchardstown on Wednesday morning.
Gardai are working off information that the young mother met with a man two weeks before the attack, according to The Sunday World.
They believe that Bernadette and another woman clashed at a party in her home about this.
The confrontation turned physical and an Bernadette was kicked to death as she lay on the floor.
It is believed her injuries suggest that her head was jumped on.
She lay dead in her home for several hours before her body was discovered.
Gardai believe at least eight people were in the house when the attack took place.
A woman arrested in relation to the incident was released without charge yesterday
