Young female pedestrian hit by truck in Dublin city centre

A woman is being treated in hospital after a truck ran over her leg in Dublin city centre this morning.
The accident happened on O'Connell Street at the junction with Bachelors Walk.
Witnesses said the woman, who is in her 20s was in a lot of pain as a result of the accident at around 8.20am and helped by passers by.
Dublin Fire Brigade sent an ambulance, an advanced paramedic crew and a fire engine to the scene.
The woman was brought to the Mater Hospital with serious but non life threatening leg injuries.
Traffic was disrupted for a time while emergency services worked at the scene.
