A YOUNG father of two who was planning to get married was killed when he lost control of the car he was driving, which crashed and burst into flames.
William Collins (26) was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at Ballybroman near Ardfert on the Abbeydorney to Ardfert Road in Co Kerry at 8.30pm on Sunday.
His remains were taken to Kerry General Hospital where a post-mortem examination was carried out yesterday afternoon.
Mr Collins was engaged to be married and was the father of two young children.
He was originally from Tralee but had been living in Abbeydorney. His family is very well known in Co Kerry, where his father John is a well-known hotelier and owner of the Ballyroe Heights Hotel in Tralee.
