You can call me pal: Paul's trip to honour poet

SINGER Paul Simon embraced the wife of the late Seamus Heaney as a huge tapestry dedicated to the poet was unveiled at Dublin Airport.
Paul Simon, a friend of the renowned poet, unveiled the work at Terminal 2 as part of a day of commemorations to mark Heaney's life and work. The poet's widow Marie Heaney watched the launch of the work depicting an open book sailing through the sky.
Simon said: "Travellers would do well to carry Seamus Heaney's words with them as they journey around the globe. He was, truly, a poet for all the world."
U2 frontman Bono also said he believed Heaney would be an inspiration to travellers.
