Poor weather continues to hamper attempts to find the two remaining crew members missing from the Rescue 116 tragedy off Blacksod, Co Mayo.

Efforts are also under way to retrieve data from the aircraft's black box, which will form an integral part of the investigation.

A meeting is expected to take place this morning when rescue and search teams will determine what, if any, operations can be carried out due to worsening weather.

Searches are continuing with a mix of air, shore and surface operations being carried out.

An Irish Coast Guard helicopter was also deployed near Donegal Bay after debris from the fallen helicopter was recovered near Killybegs.

Irish Coast Guard shore units carried out searches around the Mullet peninsula and Inishkea Islands and were assisted by Civil Defence volunteers with drones.
