Women rescued in Palmerstown trafficking raid

Gardai targeting human trafficking rescued two women being held at a house in Dublin.

The Garda National Immigration Bureau, in co-operation with the Latvian police, raided the property in Palmerston.

The women, aged 19 and 25, were taken into the care of gardai and other state agencies.

Two men were arrested at the house for false imprisonment.

The men, one in his 20s and the other in his 30s, were being held at Ballyfermot Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
