Woman killed and two men seriously injured in two-vehicle collision

A woman in her sixties has passed away following a two-vehicle collision in Tipperary on Friday afternoon.

The woman was the driver of a car which collided with a van at approximately 3pm.

The incident occurred on the Limerick Road in Roscrea, Co Tipperary.

Two passengers in the car, a man in his seventies and a man in his fifties were airlifted to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries.

The driver of the van was not injured.

A Garda investigation has begun into the cause of the crash and an forensic examination of the crash site is underway.
