Woman in her 40s quizzed as gardai raid €250,000 cannabis growhouse

GARDAI were today questioning a woman in her forties following the discovery of a cannabis growhouse in Co Carlow.

Officers found a number of cannabis plants during a planned search of a property in Carlow town yesterday.

The drugs are thought to have a street value of around €250,000.

The majority of the plants were found upstairs in the house.

A woman in her mid forties was detained by gardai and was today being questioned at Carlow Garda Station. She is being held under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
