Woman denies sex with teen

A 25-year-old woman has denied having sex with a 14-year-old boy.

The woman, who cannot be named, allegedly first asked the boy for a kiss at her home.

She faces trial on the charge after she pleaded not guilty.

Her solicitor, Padraig O'Donovan, said the woman was deemed fit to plead to the charge.

The defendant, with an address in Tallaght, appeared before Tallaght District Court, charged with engaging in a sexual act with a child under 15 years at her home on September 4 last year.

Judge James McDonnell ad-journed the case for 10 weeks.
