Woman (29) arrested as gardai seize cannabis plants valued at €42,500 in Connemara

Gardaí from Maam and Clifden seized cannabis plants

A 29-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the seizure of cannabis in Connemara this morning.

Gardaí from Maam and Clifden - assisted by the Regional Support Unit - seized cannabis plants with a value of €42,500 (pending analysis).

The drugs were seized following a number of planned searches of premises in the Maam area, County Galway this morning.

The woman is currently detained at Clifton Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Investigations are ongoing.
