ROADS: COST €5bn

Build four-lane motorways from Dublin to Belfast, Cork and Limerick (total length 200kms); build three-lane motorways from Dublin-Galway, Dublin-Waterford, Cork-Limerick, Limerick-Galway and Galway-Sligo (total length 500kms); build two-lane motorways between Dublin-Derry, Sligo-Derry and Belfast-Derry; build ring roads around each of the city regions to connect with the motorway network.



  • RAIL: COST €2.5bn


Build a high-speed rail line between Dublin-Belfast with a guaranteed journey time of 75 minutes and just four stops (Drogheda, Dundalk, Newry and Portadown) with a 15-minute frequency.

Trains would travel at 225kmh.



  • AIRPORT: Uncosted


Make Dublin an international hub with capacity to handle 50 million passengers a year. This will need a third terminal. Build an oil pipeline from the new port to the airport.



  • WATER MAINS NETWORK: COST €1.5bn


Mains linking Shannon and Dublin, and second from Lough Neagh to Dublin.



  • BROADBAND: COST €1.5bn


High-speed network linking all eight city regions.
