Want a date? Then mind your manners
IRISH singletons will need to mind their manners when searching for a mate as old-fashioned values creep back into the dating scene.
That's according to a survey carried out for online dating site Parship.ie, which found that 59pc of Irish daters now consider bad manners on a first date to be their number one turn-off.
Flashing the cash isn't going to get you very far either, with just 10pc of respondents citing a fat wallet as a necessary quality in their perfect partner.
Instead, that old reliable, a good sense of humour, is still the best way into your prospective lover's heart.
Parship.ie dating expert Avril Mulcahy said when it comes to dating, slow and steady wins the race.
"These old-fashioned values are attractive because courtship with the highest potential for a lasting relationship requires patient, conscious interaction," she said.
