DUBLIN’S Beaumont Hospital in Dublin has asked members of the public not to visit patients there, unless it is essential and unavoidable, because of an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.
Quarantine arrangements to deal with the outbreak mean that up to 40 beds are not available.
A spokesman for the hospital said that children should not be brought in as visitors under any circumstances whatsoever.
St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin also has a small number of patients with symptoms of the bug.
It is advising visitors to stick to normal visiting hours and not to bring children.
