JOURNALIST Vincent Browne has confirmed that there are to be further job cuts at 'Village', the current affairs magazine he edits writes Jason O'Brien.
It is understood that three people are to lose their jobs today, leaving two staff in the advertising department and "two or three" journalists along with himself, Mr Browne said. The magazine recently announced that it is to be published monthly, rather than weekly, and deputy editor Justine McCarthy has since left.
"It's true that there would be fewer people employed on a monthly magazine than there are on a weekly magazine, and really that's just inevitable," Mr Browne said.
