Video: RNLI's Irish rescues of 2013

THE Royal National Lifeboat Institution is a charity on call 24/7, a lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland.

The brave volunteers are seen in this compilation of rescue footage, facing menacing and sometimes dangerous weather conditions on the coast of Ireland.

This footage shows the ins and outs of what it takes to be a RNLI volunteer and how they have come to save more than 22 people a day.
