Vehicle fires causing serious delays in both Cork and Galway during morning rush hour

Vehicle fires caused massive rush hour delays in both Galway and Cork this morning.
In Cork, there was a truck on fire on the the N40 westbound near J10 Mahon.

AA indicated that the smoke was affecting visibility in the area.
The N8 Dublin Road also experienced 4km tailbacks heading towards the Dunkettle Interchange as a result of the incident.

There is also severe delays in Galway, as a car is on fire on the N6 dual-carriageway at Ballybrit.
Traffic is down to one lane.
