Taoiseach Enda Kenny was unrepentant last night as he broke his silence on controversial comments he made about the cause of Ireland's economic woes at the Davos Economic Forum.
As EU leaders agreed a treaty covering tough new budget rules at yesterday's European Council meeting in Brussels, Mr Kenny and French President Nicolas Sarkozy enjoyed some horseplay.
Mr Kenny secured a get-out clause ensuring the Government does not have to insert the treaty into the Constitution, making a referendum less likely.
