VOICE of Ireland star Una Foden has revealed how the birth of their son, Tadhg, helped rugby player husband Ben get over a serious injury.

The couple, who already have a daughter, Aoife, celebrated his arrival earlier this month, just as Ben Foden faced the prospect of surgery on a serious knee injury.

The singer told Hello! magazine: "The lead up to the birth was so hard because at one point it looked like Ben was going in for surgery the week that I was due.

"I was heartbroken for Ben and a lot of tears were shed, but we work as a team and the upside is that he's been able to spend so much time with Tadhg."
