UCD will hold a remembrance ceremony for those who were killed and injured in the Berkeley balcony tragedy.
As the new academic year commences, the university will remember students Eimear Walsh, Niccolai Schuster and Lorcán Miller who died in the tragic accident in June.
All students are invited to the ceremony, which will take place in the O'Reilly Hall on Wednesday September 9 on the university campus.
The university is also installing a commemorative bench in the Rose Garden beside Belfield House to remember the students who lost their lives and those injured.
The garden is said to be a quiet and tranquil spot in the centre of the busy campus.
In a letter to students, UCD Registrar Professor Mark Rogers said that many people within the university community have been affected by the tragedy.
"I recognise that many of us in UCD have been affected by the accident in Berkeley," he said.
"I want to remind you that the staff who work with you, in particular your students advisers, are available to offer you support, if you need it."
