Gardai are preparing a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions following the death of 32-year-old Ian Quinn at an apartment in Ongar, Dublin.

Two women in their 30s arrested and later released were believed to have been known to the dead man.

Mr Quinn was found asphyxiated at the apartment at Annaly Grove in Ongar at around 4am on Saturday.

The results of a post-mortem have not been released.

It is understood Mr Quinn, who was originally from Tallaght, Dublin, may have either been strangled or was suffocated. His body was discovered after neighbours heard screaming from the apartment and called gardai.
