Two women arrested in connection with Temple Bar fatal attack released without charge
Two young women who were arrested as part of the investigation into the death of a father-of-three in Dublin's Temple Bar last week have been released without charge.
A file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions, gardai confirmed to Independent.ie.
Both women were aged in their twenties.
Gareth O'Connor (27) from Harelawn Avenue in Clondalkin, Co Dublin, passed away almost 24 hours after the violent attack on Thursday September 10.
The father of three was socialising with a group of friends at about 8.45pm on Thursday evening at Cow's Lane, Temple Bar when the incident occurred.
Four other people who were being held in connection with the attack were also released without charge on Friday.
Gardaí investigating the assault are interested in speaking to a number of people who they believe recorded the melee on their mobile phones.
They have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or were in the vicinity of Cow’s Lane between 8.30pm and 9 pm on September 10 to come forward.
