Two women arrested and €75,000 worth of stolen property seized following searches in south-east

Gardaí have arrested two women and seized €75,000 worth of stolen property following searches targeting an organised criminal gang in Waterford and Wexford.

The women, aged 44 and 46 years, are being detained at Enniscorthy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Members of the Criminal Assets Bureau, Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit were involved in this morning’s operation, where over 80 gardai carried out nine co-ordinated searches.

The searches were part of an investigation into a criminal gang operating nationally and in the south east.
