A GARDA investigation is underway following an aggravated burglary during which two people were tied up.

Two men entered a house on the Old Cabra Road in Dublin in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Three adults and two children were in the house during the incident which occurred at approximately 3.10am.

The two raiders used cable ties to tie the hands of two of the adults, and threatened them with physical violence.

They fled the house with a quantity of cash. Nobody was injured during the incident.

Gardai from the Bridewell are investigating.

They wish to speak to anybody who may have been in the area between 2.30am and 4.30am on Saturday, particularly those in the area between the old JJ Reid’s garage on the Old Cabra Road and between the Topaz garage and Cabra Cross on the New Cabra Road.

One of the two raiders is between 5’ 8” and 5’10”, of thin build and wearing a black woolly hat.

He wore a navy jacket and khaki coloured combat trousers.

The second rader is 5’ 11” approx and larger in build than the other male and also wore a black woolly hat. He was wearing navy combat style trousers. Both males spoke with Dublin accents.
