Two pedestrians die in separate accidents

Two pedestrians have been killed in separate road accidents.

A 23-year-old man died after being hit by a car on the main N4 at Clongowney in Co Westmeath.



The accident happened at 5am today.



In a separate accident, a 69-year-old man was killed when he was hit by a car on St Nessans Road, in Dooradoyle, Limerick.



The accident happened last night at 7.45pm.



Gardai have appealed for witnesses to both incidents.
