A MAN has been killed in a diving accident off Malin Head.
The group of divers were around four nautical miles off Malin head when one of the group got into difficulty.
An Irish Coast Guard helicopter was dispatched and airlifted the 45-year-old man to Altnagelvin hospital in Co Derry.
Medics later pronounced him dead.
He is the second diver to die off the coast this weekend - a man died while diving near Roches Point at the entrance to Cork Harbour yesterday.
He was a member of the Blackwater search and recovery diving group and was with other divers at the time of the incident.
It is believed he is aged in his 40s and became ill shortly after the dive.
Members of the Crosshaven RNLI administered first aid at the scene - but he was unresponsive and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
