Two men hurt in Tipperary light plane crash

Two men have been injured after a light plane crashed in Tipperary.

The UK-registered aircraft went down in the Mullinahone area of Co Tipperary before 11am.



A man in his 40s was airlifted to Waterford Regional Hospital with serious injuries by a Coast Guard rescue helicopter.



A second man, aged in his 50s, was taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries, gardai said.



Air accident investigators from the Department of Transport have been sent to the scene.
