Two men arrested in relation to the seizure of cannabis plants worth €100,000

Gardaí have arrested two men in relation to the seizure of cannabis plants with a street value of €100,000.

At around 10pm last night gardai searched a house in Miltown, Tulla, as part of an operation targeting cannabis cultivation in Co. Clare.

Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €100,000 were recovered along with other items made and adapted for the growth and cultivation of cannabis plants.

Two men, both in their early 20s were arrested at scene and are currently detained at Shannon Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

The scene is presently being preserved in order to facilitate a technical examination.

Garda say their enquiries are ongoing.
