Two males have been arrested in connection with a seizure of heroin, worth €450,000 in Dublin city.
The arrests were made as part of an ongoing investigation by the Garda National Drugs Unit and the Organised Crime Unit and is the latest discovery in a series of high profile drug seizures with six figure values.
Gardai stopped two cars in Dublin city centre yesterday when they discovered three kilograms of heroin, with a street value of approximately €450,000.
The two men, aged 61 and 28 years old were detained at Finglas Garda station as part of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
They are due to appear before court later today.
