Two men arrested after gardai seize drugs worth €13k, a firearm and cash from house

Gardai have arrested two men following a drug seizure at a house in Dublin.

Gardai were accompanied by the Divisional Burglary Response Unit and local Detective Units as they carried out searches on a number of premises in the Shankill/Ballybrack area yesterday.

Cannabis resin and prescribed drugs with an estimated value of €13,000 (pending analysis) were seized at a house in the Rathsallagh area.

A firearm, ammunition and cash were also seized during the search.

A man 52-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

A second man, aged in his early thirties, was arrested today and is detained under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station.
