Two man are in custody after the discovery of a cannabis growhouse containing €600,000 worth of narcotics yesterday in Drogheda.
A vehicle was stopped and searched in the Blanchardstown area by gardai from the traffic corps and the search of the house in Drogheda came the following morning.
The search uncovered a cannabis cultivation operation, yielding a quantity of cannabis plant and herb with a potential street value of approximately €600,000.
Two males (25 and 35) remain in custody in Blanchardstown Garda station in connection with this incident and will appear before court tomorrow.
The Drogheda find came before €700,000 worth of cannabis was seized in Tallaght yesterday evening.
The discovery inm Tallaght was made following a planned search of a house in Hazel Grove Court yesterday evening as part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of drugs in the Tallaght area.
No arrests have been made in relation to this incident and investigations are ongoing.
